Following development of recent geo-economic changes and global poly-crisis, there is growing uncertainty of the world economic order, which raises the need for enhanced cooperation in the areas such as climate, artificial intelligence and international taxation. In spearheading global cooperation in these areas, the role of multilateral groupings such as the G7 and the G20 and regional economic forums such as the APEC has become increasingly critical. In this session, we will explore the way forward for enhanced cooperation at regional and global scale where there is complex interaction among global multilateral and regional economic bodies. Also, we will exchange views on value of solidarity among the like-minded countries, centered on the G7-plus, and expected roles and commitments of the Republic of Korea in enhancing multilateral and regional cooperation.
