In an era where climate change and technological innovation are reshaping the global industrial landscape, agriculture is emerging not merely as a sector of survival, but as a strategic industry linked to a sustainable future. Amid complex challenges such as food security, ESG-driven management, and the decline of rural regions, the agri-food industry is creating new value and market opportunities through convergence with manufacturing, tourism, and digital technologies. This session will feature Vice Minister PARK Beom Su of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs of Korea and former Japanese Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, YAMADA Masahiko, who will explore sustainable growth strategies and collaborative models for the future of Asia's agri-food sector, grounded in the policy directions and market approaches of both countries. In particular, the discussion will focus on how public policy and corporate activity can intersect to drive real transformation, and how agriculture can evolve into a future-oriented platform connecting economic resilience and social well-being.
