KIM Hee Jin, born on August 29, 2005, is currently a dental student. Alongside her academic pursuits, she has been consistently involved in community-based volunteer work, including providing toothbrushing assistance for individuals with disabilities and supporting dental care services for immigrant populations. These experiences have deepened her sense of empathy and professional responsibility as a future healthcare provider. They have also offered valuable opportunities to reflect on the fundamental values of healthcare that go beyond treatment, inspiring her current engagement with the global role of dentistry. Through her work with the Youth Secretariat of the Jeju Forum, she is gaining firsthand experience in building solidarity at the intersection of healthcare and diplomacy. She continues to explore the broader social responsibilities of dental professionals, not only within Korea but in a global context. With a sensitivity to diverse cultures and a commitment to meaningful communication, she hopes to embody the essence of dentistry—caring for people.
