Biography
Yong-lin Moon is the highest scholar in Korean educational world. He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from the Department of Education at Seoul National University and a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Minnesota, USA. He served as a standing committee member of the Presidential Educational Reform Committee and as the 40th Minister of Education, the professor of the Department of Education at Seoul National University for 35 years, and chairman of the Korean Teachers' Credit (KTCU), the Seoul Superintendent of Education. He first introduced the "Multiple Intelligence Theory" enhancing strength intelligence. Based on his achievements and global research cases, he, as a Superintendent of Seoul, said, "Success does not only make you happy, but you can succeed if you are happy." In order to correct the wrong educational environment in Korea, he proposed a new educational paradigm through the "Happy Textbook" that parents, teachers, and children can all be happy. Currently, he is the president of Green Tree(ChungYaeDan), who contributes to the prevention of violence in juvenile schools, social interest, and youth personality education. He is the honorary chairman of the Korea Human Development Institute (CEO training, social education & contribution).
