A Study on the Improvement of Quality Tourism: Focused on Jeju Province		 Crystal Hall C
This session attempts to derive the definition and attributes of quality tourism. Inorder to achieve the purpose of this session, the opinions of experts on growth discourse will conduct to understand the essence of quality tourism and to conceptualize it. Moreover this session is expected to be meaningful in terms of tourism policy’s establishment and execution for quality tourism growth and practical aspects of tourism industry.
Our session is also to analyze the causes that hinder the qualitative growth of tourism industry and to analyze the status of unfair low-cost tourism market structure, thus provide policy implications

양적연구와 정책에 익숙한 관광분야는 양적성장 프레임에서 벗어날 수 있는 질적관광(quality tourism) 성장에 대한 성찰과 고민이 필요하다. 양적성장의 장점도
활용하면서 관광경험의 가치를 창출할 수 있는 새로운 혁신이 모색되지 않는다면 관광 부문의 고품질화를 동반한 관광경쟁력은 창출할 수 없고, 산업의 악순환이 반복적으로 발생할 것이다.
질적관광은 관광객들에게 의미있는 특별한 관광경험을 제공하여 만족도를 높이는 한편 관광객과 지역주민 모두의 삶의 질 향상 등을 추구하는 패러다임이다.
더불어 관광산업의 질적 성장을 저해하는 원인과 불공정 저가관광 시장 구조 상황을 분석하고 이에 대한 개선점을 논의하는 장으로 활용하고자 한다
