Junseong An is a foreign attorney at First Lawyers at Law (law firm) in Seoul, Korea, and a visiting professor of the Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS) at Yonsei University. He currently teaches Theory and Practice of Negotiation, Global Challenges in Information Technology Law, and International Business Law. He received a B.A. in Telecommunication and a J.D. at Michigan State University in East Lansing, LL.M. in Information Technology and Privacy Law at the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, and M.A. in Telecommunications at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
Junseong An was legal advisor to the Ministry of Information and Communications and took part, as a Korean government negotiator, in free trade agreement (FTA) negotiations with Japan, Singapore, and the European Free Trade Association (EFFA) and bilateral trade negotiations with the United State Trade Representatives (USTR), with respect to telecommunications services, electronic commerce, and digital products. He was a Research Fellow at Korea Information Strategy Development Institute (KISDI) and participated in the Vietnam IT Law Legislation Project, which is an Official Development Assistance (ODA) project by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOCIA). Junseong An published a number of newspaper opinion pieces both in Korean and English on a variety of issues and has been active in TV interviews.
