Biography
Sang Kil Lee, former Vice Minister, Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries(MIFAFF), graduated from Seoul National University in 1982, and entered the public office at once. He served in the Ministry of Agriculture for about 30 years. In 2013, he retired from public office with his last position as a vice minister of MIFAFF. While in the Ministry of Agriculture, he holds key positions in the rice, livestock, and food sectors, where there are many pending issues in Korean agriculture. For this reason, he is a professional official who has long experience in the field and policies of the agricultural and food sectors in Korea. After retiring, he served as the head of IPET, a public organization that supported the planning, management, and evaluation of R&D projects for the development of agricultural and food science technologies for three years from December 2013.
Currently, he is a professor at Konkuk University who is responsible for the Community Business Center, which was founded to develop a business model for the co-development of universities and communities.
