Dongsoo Lee received his B.S. in Physics from Sogang University, Seoul, Rep. of Korea, in 1993, and received his M.S. and Ph.D in communications engineering from Information and Communications University (current KAIST), Daejeon, Rep. of Korea, in 2000 and 2004, respectively. In 2005, he joined Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), where he engaged in research and development on FTTH technologies for next next-generation optical access network. Since 2016, he has been leading projects for the development of Smart City solutions in addition to industrial IoT and optical communications technologies to foster regional industry as the head of Honam Research Center of ETRI.
