Mr. Kang Youngsik joined the Korean Sharing Movement as a founding member and has been working as the Secretary-General since 2008. Mr. Kang has advised various governmental and non-governmental organizations. He served as a member of the Policy Innovation Committee of the Ministry of Unification(MoU) in 2017, and he is currently serving as a Policy Advisor of the MoU. From 2012 to 2013, He was the Chairman of the Operating Committee of the Korea NGO Council for Cooperation with North Korea(KNCCK), an association of NGOs providing assistance to North Korea, and the Chairman of the Policy Committee from 2016 to 2017. He is currently serving as the Chairman of the Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Working Group of the Council. Since 1998, he has visited North Korea more than 150 times. Last November, Mr. Kang was awarded the Order of Civil Merit, Camellia Medal, for his efforts to promote inter-Korean exchanges and cooperation.
