Biography
Ambassador Enna Park joined the Ministry for Foreign Affairs (MOFA) in 1985 and currently serves as Ambassador for Public Diplomacy (Deputy Minister). She received her M.A. degree in International Relations from Columbia University in 1989, where she returned as a Visiting Fellow in 2010. Amb. Park has served at the Korean Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York twice (1995, 2006) and held diplomatic posts in China, India, and the United States. She has served as Director of Planning and Research Division at the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS), Director of Regional Cooperation Division at the Multilateral Trade Bureau, and Director-General for Development Cooperation. Amb. Park’s expertise spans a wide range of political and economic issues, as well as work advocating for human rights and women’s empowerment at the U.N. Recently, she is promoting Korean charm throughout the world and making efforts to gain understanding and support from foreign publics on Korean diplomatic policies.
