Choi, Woongchul, was born in 1964 in Seoul, Korea, and became a naturalized citizen of the United States of America in 2002. He holds a bachelor's degree from Seoul National University in the field of mechanical engineering, master's and Ph.D. degrees from the Ohio State University in the same field. He has served as a professor in the department of automotive engineering at Kookmin University since 2010. It has published several papers in renowned international journals and presented numerous conference papers worldwide. His research interests include areas of system integration of electric vehicles, thermal management of energy storage systems, charging infrastructures, and future personal mobility solutions, and related rules and regulations.
