Major General Pan Zhenqiang (Retired) is former director of the Institute of the Strategic Studies of the National Defense University (NDU), PLA, China. He is currently Director of Research Institute for Strategy and Management of the Central University of Finance and Economics in China. General Pan is also Senior Adviser to the Council of China Reform Forum (CRF), Member of the Council of Pugwash Conferences on Science and World Affairs，Adviser to the College of Defense Studies of the National Defense University, PLA, Adviser to People’s Associasion for Peace and Disarmament in China, and Standing Member of the Council of China’s United Nations Association. General Pan has been research fellow to a number of US universities, including the U.S. National Defense University (1987), Stanford University (1988-1989), Harvard University (1999 and 2000 respectively), and Georgia States University (2014).
