Biography

Ms. LEE Jia is the Director, Officer in Charge of International Cooperation, Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA). She is an IHR Focal Point of the Republic of Korea, and works closely with various international partners. She is an Epidemiologist completed Korea Field Epidemiology Training Program (KFETP) in 2019, and her area of interest is surveillance and risk assessment, and international collaboration. During her work in KDCA, she participated in MERS outbreak response, WHO IHR Joint External Evaluation (JEE) of the Republic of Korea, and COVID-19 pandemic response, mainly involved in global outbreak surveillance and risk assessment, and COVID-19 vaccination program. Jia holds Bachelor of semiconductor and nursing and a Master of Nursing from Emory University, USA.
