Biography

OH Il-young is the Deputy Minister Climate and Energy Policy Office at the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment, Republic of Korea. He received a B.S. and M.S. in Resources Engineering from Seoul National University and a Ph.D. in Public Policy from Chungnam National University. Throughout his career, he has held a number of key positions, including Director of the Climate Change Response Division, Director of the Planning and Budget Division, Senior Secretary for Climate and Environment at the Office of the President, Director of the Climate Strategy Division, and secondment to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Prior to his current position, he served as Director General for Air Quality Policy and Director General for Climate Change Policy.
