Sophie LARDER has worked in Political Affairs and Security Policy Division, NATO HQ since March 2011. Between 2011 and 2020, Sophie worked on NATO’s relations with Russia through the NATO-Russia Council. During this period, Sophie also supported NATO’s partnership with Ukraine. Since 2020, she has been responsible for NATO’s relations with the Indo-Pacific partners, and was responsible for bilateral relations with Japan and the Republic of Korea between 2021 and 2025. Today, Sophie is responsible for NATO’s bilateral relations with Australia and New Zealand and works on deepening practical cooperation with the IP4.
