Dr. KIM Sung Soo earned his Ph.D. in Medicine from Chung-Ang University Graduate School of Medicine and has served as President of Jeju Halla Hospital since 1997. He currently serves as Chairman of Halla Medical Foundation, leading Jeju Halla Hospital and THE WE Premium Health Resort. He has also served as Chair of the Jeju Hospital Association of the Korean Hospital Association, Director of the Korea International Medical Association, and Vice Chair of the Jeju Regional Assembly of the National Unification Advisory Council, contributing to the fields of regional healthcare and peace cooperation. In addition, he serves as Advisor to the Jeju Police Development Committee, having previously served as its Chair, and as Director of the Jeju Sunflower Center and Co-Chair of JSS (Jeju Sheriff System), a community safety system operated in partnership with the Jeju Provincial Police Agency. Through these roles, he has made significant contributions to community safety and public welfare. In recognition of his service, he has received the Moran Medal of the Order of Civil Merit, among other honors.
