Lyn Nasseryala, aged 24, has been active for 15 years as a member of the Jaffa Cultural Center, a civic organization established as a Palestinian refugee human rights initiative of the Palestine Defense Committee in the Balata Refugee Camp. Every summer, she provides civic education focusing on democracy and human rights to children living in various refugee camps through school-based programs and participates in activities aimed at raising civic awareness among refugees. She is currently participating in the 3rd Global Citizenship Education Youth Leadership Workshop organized by the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Institute for Education. As a participant, she plans to develop an action plan for youth leadership activities in global citizenship education on behalf of the Arab region during the workshop.
