Biography
Minister Puan Maharani is an Indonesian politician who has been serving as Indonesia's Coordinating Minister of Human Development and Culture since 2014. Minister Maharani, who majored in communications, began his political activities as a member of the central executive committee of the Indonesian Youth Committee in 2006 and was elected as a member of the National Assembly in 2009. From 2012 to 2014, he served as the chairman of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P). After being re-elected in 2014, Minister Maharani contributed to the introduction of the ‘Indonesia Smart Card Program’, which provides free education to poor students, and is also working to ensure that students receive high-quality education by eradicating problems such as drugs, corruption, and plagiarism in universities
