Professor KWON majored in computer engineering at ChungAng University, where he also earned his Master's degree, and then received his Ph.D. in telecommunications engineering from Paris 6 University in France.
After returning to Korea, he gained a variety of practical experiences before becoming a professor in the Department of Business Administration at the College of Business and Economics, where he nurtured future students.
Aside from his professorship, he worked as a researcher at the Korea Defense Research Institute, served as the director of the Educational Media Support Center and the Digital Content Resource Center at ChungAng University, and led the BK21 Cultural and Arts Industry Innovation Research Group. He was also a Special Member of the National Assembly’s 4th Industrial Revolution Forum and President of the Korea Digital Convergence Society.
Currently, as a Professor Emeritus at ChungAng University, he has returned to Mungyeong, Gyeongbuk, where he founded Younggang Naruteo Agricultural Corporation (a preliminary village enterprise). He now lives a hands-on managerial life, applying his diverse experiences as a businessperson to help develop the local community.
