Biography
Republic of Korea, representing Gimhae Gap, Gyeongsangnam-do, in the 19th, 20th, 21st, and 22nd National Assemblies. He currently serves as a Member of the National Assembly Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee. Over the course of his parliamentary career, he has held a wide range of key positions, including Chair of the National Defense Committee, Secretary of the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee, and Secretary of the National Defense Committee. He has also served on several major parliamentary bodies, including the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts, the Special Committee on Inter-Korean Economic Cooperation, the Special Committee on Military Human Rights and Barracks Culture Reform, and the Special Committee for the Parliamentary Investigation into the Sewol Ferry Disaster.
Within the Democratic Party of Korea, MIN Hong Chul has served as a Supreme Council Member, Chair of the Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Party Chapter, Chair of the Second Policy Coordination Committee, Co-Chair of the Nationalization Committee, and Vice Chair of the Constitutional Amendment Special Committee. Prior to entering the National Assembly, he built a distinguished career in military law, serving as Judge Advocate General of the Republic of Korea Army with the rank of Brigadier General, President of the High Military Court, and Chair of the Ministry of National Defense Personnel Appeals Commission.
