CHA Ho Beom is CPO (Chief Privacy Officer) at SK Telecom, where he leads the company’s privacy, data protection, and AI governance programs. He brings more than 20 years of experience in telecommunications, legal practice, privacy regulation, and technology governance.
His work focuses on building trustworthy digital services by integrating privacy, AI governance, and regulatory compliance into business and technology decision-making. He has led the development of governance frameworks that strengthen customer trust, enhance accountability, and support the responsible deployment of AI.
Mr. CHA actively contributes to global discussions on privacy and AI governance. He recently participated in the Mobile World Congress 2026 panel on AI governance and regularly engages with industry, academic, government, and international stakeholders on responsible AI, privacy, and human rights.
He holds an S.J.D. and is an attorney at law. His professional interests include privacy regulation, AI governance, digital trust, and international cooperation, with a focus on advancing interoperable and practical approaches to responsible innovation in the AI era.
