Biography
Dr. HAN Zee A is a Member of the 22nd National Assembly of the Republic of Korea. She serves on the Health and Welfare Committee and the Gender Equality and Family Committee.
Prior to her election to the National Assembly in 2024, Dr. HAN served as Head Spokesperson of the People Power Party and as a Member of the party’s Emergency Committee. She also served on the Strategic Committee of the Presidential Committee of National Cohesion and chaired the Special Committee on Suicide Crisis. In addition, she was an Associate Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Eulji University College of Medicine.
From 2020 to 2021, Dr. HAN worked at the World Health Organization (WHO) as a Medical Officer in the Ageing and Health Unit, where she led work on long-term care. She previously served as a Technical Officer in the WHO Rehabilitation Programme. Earlier in her career, she held positions at the National Rehabilitation Center under the Ministry of Health and Welfare, including Director of the Department of Spinal Cord Rehabilitation and Chief of the Health Promotion Center for People with Disabilities. She also worked in the Ministry’s Division of Policy for Persons with Disabilities and as a rehabilitation medicine specialist at the National Health Insurance Service Ilsan Hospital.
Dr. HAN received her M.D. and Ph.D. in Medicine from The Catholic University of Korea and is a board-certified specialist in Rehabilitation Medicine.
