Dr. YUAN Tao is a Professor at the School of Economics, Nankai University, and Deputy Secretary-General (Executive) of the Tianjin Association of World Economy. He twice won the "An Zijie International Trade Research Award", the highest honor in China’s foreign trade academic field. He has conducted long-term research, teaching, or work in Tokyo, Salt Lake City, Istanbul, and Jeju. From 2016 to 2021, he served as the Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at Jeju Halla University. Dr. YUAN has published two English monographs with Springer (『The Dual-Center Global Financial System』, 2018; 『On China's Trade Surplus』, 2014), a Chinese monograph with People's Publishing House (2009), and numerous papers in major journals in China, the U.S., South Korea, and Japan.
