Biography
Mi-Kyung Yeom served as a Research Fellow at the International Centre for the Study of East Asian Development (ICSEAD) in Japan and as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Center of Social and Urban Research, University of Pittsburgh, United States.
Since 2003, she has been a Professor at Jeju National University. Her primary research focuses on local communities and people in both domestic and international contexts. She has conducted extensive research on oral history concerning historical experiences and memory, as well as on migration studies.
