Biography

Co-founded the non-profit organization PEACEMOMO in 2012 and has since led a wide range of peace-themed research and educational programs, fostering "mutual learning" experiences with approximately 130,000 participants. Holds an M.A. in Peace Education and completed Ph.D. coursework in Peace Studies at the United Nations-mandated University for Peace (UPEACE) in Costa Rica. Research focuses on the conceptual framework of "Precariousness as a condition of security and interdependent performativity." Beyond research and grassroots activism, has served as an advisory member for several South Korean government institutions, including the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, and the Ministry of Unification. Currently focuses on domestic and international civil society advocacy to regulate Lethal Autonomous Weapons Systems (LAWS), bridging the gap between peace theory and global security policy.
