Dr. JOUNG Eun Lee is a Director of North Korean Research Division at the Korea Institute for National Unification (KINU). Previously, she worked at the Export-Import Bank of Korea (KEXIM) as a Senior Researcher. She is currently serving as a member of the Policy Advisory Committee at the Ministry of Unification and as a Visiting Scholar of Korean Peninsula Research Center at Peking University (PKU).
Dr. JOUNG obtained her M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from University of Tohoku. She mainly studies the North Korean Economy and the North Korean-Chinese Economic Relations based on field surveys of the border area between North Korea and China. Her recent academic works are on Sino-North Korean economic relationship; North Korean real estate, markets and finance; and North Korean ICT.
