Biography

Dr. JANG Cheol-wun is currently a Research Fellow at the Korea Institute for National Unification (KINU). After graduating from Hanyang University with a degree in Nuclear Engineering, he received a Master's degree in North Korean Studies from the Graduate School of North Korean Studies at Kyungnam University and a Doctoral degree in North Korean Studies from the University of North Korean Studies. Since joining KINU, he has worked in departments such as the Unification Policy Research Division and the North Korea Research Division, focusing his research on North Korea's nuclear and missile development, inter-Korean relations, and security issues on the Korean Peninsula. Prior to joining KINU, he worked at the Ministry of Unification of Republic of Korea, Yonhap News Agency, and the Institute for Far Eastern Studies at Kyungnam University.
