Biography

INATANI Tatsuhiko is a Professor at the Graduate School of Law, Kyoto University, and Leader of the Artificial Intelligence and Law Unit at the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies of Law and Policy (CISLP). He specializes in digital law, with research focusing on the governance of advanced science and technology (Agile Governance), the technological implementation of legal functions (Legal Engineering), and normatively desirable forms of human–AI and human–robot interaction. He has conducted international collaborative research with Georgetown University, Cardiff University, the University of Zurich, the University of Vienna, and National Taiwan University. He has also served on expert panels for Japan's digitalization policy and contributed to AI and data governance discussions at the WEF and OECD.
