Biography
PARK Tae Hyun is Professor of Environmental Law and Earth Law at Kangwon National University School of Law. Before entering academia, he worked as an environmental lawyer at an environmental civil society organization. His research focuses on Earth Law, the rights of nature, ecological constitutionalism, and the transformation of human legal systems in response to the climate and ecological crisis.
As a member of the Forum for Earth and People, he collaborates with colleagues to develop and institutionalize Earth Law ideas, including proposals for a Climate and Ecological Constitution and the legal recognition of Ecological Legal Persons.
He is the author of The Good Life and the Rights of Nature (2025), and co-author of Jurisprudence for the Earth (2020) and Earth Jurisprudence: Declaration of the Rights of Nature and Political Participation (2023). He also translated The Wild Law (2016) and The Ecology of Law (2019) into Korean.
