KIM Jin Taek is a professor in the Department of Convergence IT Engineering at POSTECH and the Director of the POSTECH Open Engineering School. He earned his doctorate in Media Aesthetics from the University of Paris 1 in France, and is dedicated to education and research focused on the imaginative and reflective convergence of humanities and technology, rooted in a cybernetics-based philosophy and worldview. His papers include “Understanding and Applying Cultural Content through Actor-Network Theory” and “The Phenomenological Experience of Gaze and the Narcissism of Seeing,” and his books include “Design Value”, “Are Humans More Special Than Machines?”, and “Techné Imagination”. Recognizing the importance of intellectual flexibility and strategic, spirited problem-solving within the framework of 'Value Design,' he is conducting research projects that bridge the gap between industry and academia.
