Biography

Dr. LEE Kyu-yong is a Senior Research Fellow at the Korea Labor Institute (KLI). He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Sungkyunkwan University. His principal research areas include foreign workforce and immigration, regional employment, labor market analysis, and labor market policy evaluation. Dr. LEE served as President of the Korean Association for Migration Studies and currently serves as a member of the Foreign Workforce Policy Working Committee under the Ministry of Employment and Labor of Korea, where he has conducted foundational research on foreign workforce demand forecasting and on the annual quota allocation under the Employment Permit System (EPS). His major publications include Immigration Policy in Response to Demographic Change and Korea's Regional Employment Strategy.
