YOON Jin Sik took office as Chairman of Korea International Trade Association (KITA) on February 27th, 2024. As a prominent expert in trade, industry and economic affairs, he assumed several leadership roles in the public sector. The Chairman served as Special Advisor to the President-Elect Yoon Suk Yeol in 2022, Director of National Policy and Senior Secretary to the President for Economic Affairs from 2009 to 2010, and Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy in 2003. Earlier in his career, YOON served as the Commissioner of Korea Customs Service in 2001 and Vice Minister of Economy and Finance in 2002.

The Chairman was also well recognized as a politician, having been elected to be the member of the 18th and 19th National Assembly. Furthermore, YOON contributed greatly to fostering leaders in science and technology as the President of Seoul National University of Science and Technology in 2004.
