Biography

FUWA Tina is a youth researcher part of the United Nations Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA)'s Futuring Peace in Northeast Asia initiative. She is currently a Research Assistant at University College London exploring the utilisation of data and emerging technologies, including AI, to provide empirical, evidence-based policy research. She has previous professional experience in the field of disinformation and misinformation in Japan, analysing social media and publicly available data to understand information environments. Through this work, she strives to build productive and effective public discussions and contribute to substantial governance communications. Tina was previously appointed as a program participant representing the Cabinet Office of Japan as well as the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
