Biography
JO Hyun Jin is a policy researcher with experience in policy development, stakeholder engagement and project management. She has worked across a range of sustainability and public policy issues, with particular interests in maritime decarbonization, port electrification,
renewable energy transition and climate policy. Her work focuses on developing research-based policy recommendation and building collaboration among governments, industry, civil society and research institutions. She currently works as a Shipping and Ports Associate at Pacific Environment, where she focuses on shipping and port decarbonization in Korea and Asia-Pacific region. Her recent work includes research and advocacy related to renewable energy-based port electrification and alternative maritime fuels. Through her work, she has sought to connect policy discussions with on-the-ground realities while promoting socially and environmentally sustainable transitions.
