Biography

JUNG Won Sup is a professor at Kyungnam University whose work bridges ethics, political philosophy, and the rapidly evolving challenges of the AI age. Recognized for his thoughtful engagement with fairness in artificial intelligence and posthumanism, he brings a critical philosophical perspective to questions shaping contemporary technological societies. His scholarship explores how moral frameworks must adapt in response to emerging forms of intelligence and human–machine interaction.
Professor JUNG is the author of Ethical Issues in the Age of Artificial Intelligence (2025), a work that examines the normative implications of AI development and its impact on human values and social institutions. His leadership in the academic community has been equally significant. He served as President of the Korean Society for Ethics from 2009 to 2013 and has been President of the Korean Association for Posthuman Society since 2000, contributing to the advancement of interdisciplinary dialogue on posthuman futures.
In addition, he is set to serve as Vice President of the Korean Philosophical Association from 2026 to 2027, further extending his influence in shaping philosophical discourse in Korea and beyond.
