Dr. David Scharia is Director and Chief of Branch at the UN Security Council Counter Terrorism executive directorate (CTED), where he heads CTED thematic Counter Terrorism work. Dr. Scharia leads a large group of experts covering all Counter Terrorism work, including legal and criminal justice, judicial and law enforcement cooperation, financing of terrorism, human rights, use of the Internet by terrorists, law enforcement, CVE, and gender mainstreaming. Dr. Scharia also heads the CTED counter terrorism, political, and research unit.
