Biography
Ambassador SUH, Jeong-in, obtained his M.A degree from George Washington University in the United States in 1992. In his diplomatic service career, he started working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) in 1988 after passing the High Diplomatic Service Examination in the same year. During his time at the MOFA, Ambassador SUH served various roles and functions at headquarters and overseas missions before being appointed as the Republic of Korea’s Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary to ASEAN in 2015. He was also stationed in Indonesia, Australia, Japan,n and Thailand. At headquarters, he was Director, Deputy Director-General, and Director-General to oversee Southeast Asia and ASEAN. In December 2015, he was awarded the Order of Service Merit (Red Strips) for his role in organizing and convening the Korea-ASEAN Commemorative Summit in November 2014.
