Biography
KIM Yongjune is currently Dean of the Graduate School of China at Sunkyunkwan University. He has served as President of the Korean Marketing Association(2015-2016) and President of the Korean Academy of International Business(2014). He has also worked as Director of China Research Institute(1998- ) and also Professor of Business School, Sungkyunkwan University(1998- ). He was a Visiting Professor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong(2005-2006), Tsinghua University(1996-1997), and Shanghai-Jiaotong University, China(1990). In addition, he was the CEO of Samsung Open Tide China, Beijing, China(2000-2001).
For public service, he serves as Vice-President of the Korean Management Development Institute(2016- ), board member of the Korean Institute of Christian Management, and board member of the International Child Rights Center. In addition, he is a member of the board of directors of Handok Pharmaceuticals Incorporated and LG Fashion currently. He was also a member of the board of directors of Nongshim Food and Eagon Living. He conducted consulting professorship for diverse companies, such as Samsung Electronics Company, Hyundai Kia Motor, SK Telecom, Maeil Dairy, Amorepacific, and Samsung Economic Research Institute(SERI).
He has a Ph.D in marketing from Northwestern University(1989), M.B.A from the University of Texas at Austin(1984), and ba achelor’s degree from Seoul National University(1982).
