Biography
CHOI Moon, Professor and Head of Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Graduate School of Science and Technology Policy, Republic of Korea. Professor CHOI has found and led the Aging and Technology Policy Lab at KAIST since 2014. Her research group examines the mechanisms of social problems related to population ageing and new technologies. She provides policy analysis and recommendations to promote evidence-based policymaking. Current research projects include artificial intelligence fairness focusing on ageism and sexism, and welfare technology and active ageing using a living lab approach. She has served as a consultant to the United Nations and on research and policy committees of Korean ministries. She has an interdisciplinary background, with a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Yonsei University, a master's and doctoral degrees in Social Welfare with a concentration in Gerontology from Seoul National University, and Case Western Reserve University. In her spare time, she enjoys drawing and painting.
