Dr. YU Jiyun is a Senior Research Fellow at the Korea Culture & Tourism Institute and has shown her expertise in the field of tourism and medical tourism by partaking her role in government consultation, academic research, and thesis presentation since 1997. She was appointed as a member of the Medical Tourism Cluster Committee in the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and is actively participating as a judge for the Healing (Wellness) Medical Convergence Cluster for the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. She has exhibited her academic achievements in the field of medical tourism by articles such as 'Characteristics of a medical tourism industry: the case of South Korea. Journal of Travel and Tourism Marketing, 28(8), 856-872. /SSCI (2012)', and also contributes to other research fields in wellness, tourism industry-related policies, and the medical tourism industry.
