KOWN Hun Yeong is a Professor at the School of Cybersecurity at Korea University. He previously served as the Dean of the Graduate School of Cybersecurity and is currently the Director of the Center for Cybersecurity Policy. With a Ph.D. in Law from Yonsei University, he has over 30 years of experience in legal and policy development for information security, privacy, and e-government in Korea. Professor KWON has worked in both academic and governmental sectors, including advisory roles at the Presidential Office, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and the Presidential Committee on the Digital Platform Government. His research and teaching focus on data law, cybersecurity law, privacy protection, and the intersection of regulation and emerging technologies. He has also provided international policy consultation to countries in Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America.
