Biography

Jae-Mo Park (47) is the Director of the Research and Research Department at JDC. After receiving his doctorate in tourism development from the Department of Tourism Development at Kyonggi University in 2002, he started as an original member of the establishment of the Jeju Free International City Development Center in 2002. He has worked as the head of the JDC Tourism Business Team, the head of the Planning and Coordination Office, the head of the Investment Strategy Department, and the head of the Duty Free Shop Sales Department. I am in charge of researching and studying basic infrastructure projects and new business projects related to the creation of Jeju Free International City, and am in charge of new projects that turn them into public projects.
In 1997, Gangwon-do Samcheok-si Mureung Valley Hwansang Steel Cave Development Plan, 1998 Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry Gangwon Auraji Rural Waterfront Space Development Plan, 1999, Goesan-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do Tourism Comprehensive Development Plan, 2000 Gyeonggi-do Ceramics Expo Basic Plan, 2011, Jeonnam Jangheung Bangchon Culture Village Basic Plan, 2011 Jeollanam-do Jangheung-gun Tourism Development Plan, Experience in establishing development plans for numerous public sector tourism development projects such as the 2012 Kangwon Land Complex 2 development plan, and published in domestic and international academic journals such as ‘Jeju Island Tourist Destination Life Cycle Estimation and Growth Strategy (2003, Korea Tourism Association), Hierarchical Analysis of Accident Types of Ski Resort Users (2004, Korean Society of Tourism Management), Inducing Re-Visit through Analysis of Visitors to the Cleaning Bullfighting Festival (2005, Korean Society of Land and Urban Planning), etc. He has published more than 10 academic papers. As for academic activities, he is currently serving as vice president of the Jeju Special Branch of the Korea Tourism Association and vice president of the Jeju branch of the Korean Society of Land and Urban Planning.
