Dr. Woo-Taek Hong is a Research Fellow of the Unification Policy Studies Division at the Korea Institute for National Unification (KINU). He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Political Science and Economics from Claremont Graduate University. Dr. Hong’s main research areas are Theory of War, Nuclear Deterrence, Game Theory, and Strategy Analysis. His publications include “Analysis on the National Character of North Korea and Verification of the Nuclear Strategy by Means of Simulation Analysis” (2016), “Analysis of the Utility and Means of North Korea Policy Strategies Focus on Iran’s Experience and Economic Sanctions” (2016), and “Prospects for Xi Jinping Leadership’s Policies on the Korean Peninsula and South Korea’s Countermeasures: Scenario Analysis Using the Policy Decision-Making Model” (2014).
