Hak-Sung Kim achieved a Dr. Phil. degree at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich(LMU) in 1992. In Germany, I studied theories of international politics, German foreign policy, European politics, sociology, Russian & east-european history. From 1994 to 2003, I worked as a research fellow at the Korean Institute for National Unification(KINU) in Seoul. My major research fields were then culture studies, unification policy & foreign policy, case studies on German reunification, etc. I was transferred to a Professor at the Chungnam National University in 2003 and have given lectures on international politics at the Graduate School of Peace & Security Studies and the Department of Political Science & Diplomacy. With this career, I have played roles as a member of the board in diverse academic associations and civil society groups, as well as of advisory boards in government related to unification affairs.
