Dr. Ilsoo Cho is interested in political philosophy and democratic civic education. He obtained his Ph. D. from Seoul National University in 2002 after studying for a while at the Department of Sociology of UCLA. He has served as a professor of ethics education at Chungbuk National University(CBNU) since 2006 and works for CBNU Press & Broadcasting Center as a director currently. He has published over 50 journal and conference papers and co-authored 5 books. Interestingly, he worked as an AE for Cheil Communications, an advertising agency, before his academic career. He was an associate research fellow at the Korea Institute of Curriculum and Evaluation(KICE). He participated in the studies on the 7th revision, ’2011 revision, and ’2013 revision of the national curriculum on moral education and served as a member of the Ministry of Education curriculum review committee of Korea.
