Biography
Nelson P. Devanadera is a Master of Science candidate in Agriculture from the University of the Philippines and Masters in National Security Administration at the National Defense College of the Philippines. He worked in the Palawan Integrated Area Development-Phase 1 as the Senior Planning Officer (1981-1987). He became the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator of the province of Palawan till 2004. He also became the Executive Director of Special Program Services. He was appointed as Executive Director of PCSD from 2004 to 2007. He worked as the Development Planning and Land Resources Consultant for the Local Government Units of the Province of Palawan (2007-2009) and worked in the DENR as Regional Technical Director for Protected Areas and Coastal Zone Management and as the Assistant Bureau Director of Biodiversity Management Bureau-DENR (2009-2014), and then returned to PCSD as Executive Director. He attended local and international training and conferences as a participant/resource person, such as the Agricultural Development Corporation in Korea (1983), the Regional Development Fellow in Japan (2000), and the United Nations Environment Programme in Mexico (2016), etc.
