Biography
Kyuho Kim is a Professor in the Department of Tourism and Leisure at Gyeongju University. He received his Master’s degree in Environmental Planning from the Graduate School of Environmental Planning at Seoul National University, and his Ph.D. in Business Administration from the Department of Tourism Development at the Graduate School of Kyonggi University.
He is currently serving as a member of the Gyeongsangbuk-do East Coast Development Joint Council and the Future Gyeongbuk Development Committee. He has previously served as Secretary General of the Korea Tourism Association, as an editorial board member, and as President of the Tourism Resources Development Society under the Korea Tourism Association.
His major publications include “An Analysis of the Economic Effects of the Tourism Industry Based on a Regional Input–Output Model,” “The Cultural Impact of Tourism and Confucian Cultural Resources: An Examination of Their Relationship and Development Ideology,” “An Analysis of the Effects of Cultural Events on the Local Economy: Focusing on the Estimation of an Ad-hoc Income Multiplier for the Gyeongju Region,” “A Diagnosis of Tourism Development Policy: Retrospect and Challenges,” “An Analysis of the Effects of Cultural Heritage Tourism on the Local Economy,” and “Reinterpretation of Cultural Heritage and Tourism Resources,” among many others.
