Hyun-Wook Kim is currently a Professor at the Department of American Studies, Korea National Diplomatic Academy. His research areas include the US-ROK alliance, US-DPRK relations, US foreign policy, and East Asian security. He has published many articles in journals like the Australian Journal of International Affairs, IFANS Review, Journal of East Asian Affairs, Korean Journal of Defense Analysis, etc. He has finished his PhD and MA in political science at Brown University and worked at the University of Southern California as a postdoctoral fellow. He received his B.A. from Yonsei University.
