
Biography
Munsu Kang is a research fellow and head of the Africa and Middle East team at the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy. His research focus areas cover agricultural development, climate change, and household labor in African countries. Recent studies include Chinese economic cooperation and economic effects in Africa, impacts of climate change on agricultural productivity and conflicts in Africa, and effects of land tenure security on intra-household labor allocation in Ethiopia and Malawi. Munsu’s current studies are impacts of climate change on commodity prices and the impacts of solar energy projects on educational attainment. He received his Ph.D. in agricultural economics at Kansas State University.
