
Biography
Seong-Ik OH, who was born and raised in Jeju, is responsible for new city and property development in Korea and ponders how to apply the concept of healthy cities to a new era of COVID-19. He received Master’s degrees from Harvard Kennedy School and Tufts University, respectively. Also, he earned a Ph.D. from the School of Advanced International Studies(SAIS), Johns Hopkins University. He has worked as a civil servant at the Ministry of Ocean and Fisheries(MOF), the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport(MOLIT), and the Presidential Committee for Regional Development. He is also an adjunct professor at the Graduate School of Public Administration, Yonsei University. He co-authored Big Picture 2017: 4th Industrial Revolution and Irony of Isolationism(Thinking Garden, 2017), and his recent articles include “Futuristic Healthy Cities and Healthy People”(Monthly Insurance October) and “Prepare Futuristic Healthy Cities”(Global Insight Fall).
